Merry Christmas! 2011

You can still see Muley and Roy Duck's 2011 Christmas Video by clicking here.

Here is the front and back of this year's Kevin L. Williams Productions' Postcard from us to you.

This year, Missy wants to give the gift that keeps on giving...except, it isn't what Muley wants.  As opposed to her gift, he has a preference of what he would have instead...

One thing we want you to remember from these parts is that we not only wish you a very Merry Christmas, but also wish for health, prosperity and happiness to be yours in the coming year and always.  Not just a nice thing to be saying, but because it's meant with love from our heart to you and your family.

As Tiny Tim once said, "Let's tiptoe through the tulips and..."  Wait, that's the wrong Tiny Tim!  I meant the one from A Christmas Carol who said:

"Bless us all."

Christmas Message from Muley the Mule and Roy Duck

Well, Sunday night I walked by the Christmas tree while Muley and Roy Duck were doing some kind of thing for the video camera.  As usual, though, I kind of just left them there to do their thing.  I did a quick doodle of it in my sketchbook and shared it on Muley's Facebook Page.

So, earlier today I was asked by Muley and Roy Duck if I would edit this together for them, and here is our Christmas Message to you (click the TV icon below to see the show):

Of course, there is a strong message in "The Little Drummer Boy."  It was written in 1941 and performed in 1955 by the Trapp Family Singers, also known as the family featured in the Julie Andrews film "The Sound of Music" (one of my all-time favorites).  But, the meaning?  The song is the story of a poor boy who goes to the side of infant Jesus and, with Mary's approval, plays his drum for him.  It's a simple gift, and is one that caused the baby to smile at the little drummer boy.

You know, it's simple to forget the story of the Nativity and easy to ignore the message behind the Christian celebration of Christmas; but, foregoing the idea of expensive gifts we see that even the most minimal gifts mean something.  It's those gifts from the heart and given with love that mean the most!  The drawn cards, the handmade ornaments, the things people do with their talents.

So, no matter what you celebrate or how you celebrate it, we can all agree on this:  In this season of celebration, keep those you know close to your heart, and those in need closer!  Volunteer when the chance arises, share with those who don't have, and above all:  LOVE!  Only with love can we have peace and good will among all of us.

Merry Christmas!!

And don't forget to go visit the website of Roy Duck's person, DaMarco Randle, where you can find great artwork (that is available for purchase):

2011 RMH Breakfast With Santa a Success!!

The Ronald McDonald House of Memphis' 'Breakfast with Santa' was a big hit today!  Muley was excited as he donned his new 'elf shirt' for the event, and we dashed away to the RMH!  We celebrated the holiday season with food, song, and fun crafts...and Muley got to play along with everyone!  Here are some pictures from the event taken by DaMarco Randle (he's the neat kid in the elf hat with Muley!).
DaMarco and Muley have fun in the photo booth!

Here is some video that DaMarco shot also (which you can see by clicking the MuleTV image):
Then, as you know, whenever Martheus Wade and I get together at a restaurant, and there's pen in hand and something to draw on, we do.  Such as our visit to a late-night diner after this year's Memphis Comics and Fantasy Convention!  I did the top row of doodles, and he produced a very fine catwoman!

This from Muley:  "I just found out that there are folks whose last name is the same as my nickname: Muley!! If this is you and can prove your last name is my nickname, send it to me and I'll send you a free sketch of me by Kevin!!"  This is, of course, open to everyone reading this here and on his facebook page.
